Financial FreedomMost working people always think of that dream called “financial freedom”. It definitely looks like something that everybody would want. If you ever went to a business opportunity meeting for any Network Marketing company, you most likely heard the speaker tell you that it can bring you “financial freedom”. It sounds appealing. But did you ever stopped and think about what it means for you?

I was reading an article yesterday where the readers where asked “what does financial freedom means for you?” Here is a collection of answers:

  • Financial freedom, is when you are not thinking about financial value.
  • financial freedom means , you are already in a position where money is no longer an issue…
  • financial freedom is when your incomes are higher than the money you spend every month

I started to read these answers and I was surprised (or was I?) to see how many people had no clue what financial freedom is. Do you agree with those? Do you think financial freedom is having enough money today? Is it to have an income that covers what you spend every month? What a joke! I know people with a JOB making $30,000 a year and able to pay their bills. Are they financially free? I doubt it! WHat would happen if they were to loose their job tomorrow? Would they still be able to pay there bills?

Here are some more interesting answers:

  • When you have enough assets to cash-flow your future w/o having a J.O.B.
  • Your Residual Income is able cover Total sum of any expenses you may have any time
  • Financial freedom is passive income that exceeds a persons living expenses.

I like those answers better. “To have a residual income that covers any expenses at any time”. Not bad. My favorite:

  • Financial Freedom is when your income no more depends on your physical presence and performance [Residual/Passive Income]. You work once in your life and money keeps coming in again and again forever. You dont have to trade your time for money.

What is your definition of financial freedom?
