Being efficient means that you take a task, or several tasks that are necessary to work your business and you spend your scheduled time completing those tasks.</p>
<p>You want to map your ideas, implement your plans with action steps towards the completion of specific marketing objectives. Try to document in advance the amount of time that will be needed to complete the action steps you have set for your self. This resolution of action will help you in your creating doable goals and their successful achievement.</p>

<p>If you are using attraction marketing you must have a lead generation system and a lead capture page in place to be able ot capture your lead information so you can contact them. Most of those systems also include an affiliate program. This is called a <strong>funded proposal</strong> which means that for every person that you sponsor in this system, you will get a commission, even though they do not join your primary business. Powerful stuff.</p>
<p>However, if you have been following or even tested these systems as I have, you must have found that many of these systems help you capture the leads by you <strong>promoting the system</strong> itself but in the back, there are nothing or very little explanations on how to actually link it to your primary MLM business, grow you team and retain your associates, you know what we are trying to do!</p>
<p>So it got me thinking, are those systems just there for you to promote the system and make some affiliate commissions or is there really a way to actually grow your MLM business using those systems?</p>
<p>Well, I talked to many marketers and I have to say that a lot of them are stuck in only promoting the system. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, having multiple income streams are essential but in my opinion your primary goal must be to grow your business! Wouldn&#8217;t you agree?</p>
<h3>Funded Proposal or Traditional Network Marketing?</h3>
<p>My take is that the debate shouldn&#8217;t be about having a funded proposal or not. To grow your business, you <strong><a title="Mike Dillard Black Belt Recruiting" href="http://perig.blackbeltrecruiting.com/" target="_blank">must generate leads</a></strong> and <strong>convert</strong> those leads into either customers and eventually <strong>associates</strong>. A funded proposal is exceptionally performant in doing the leads capture part and it is the lifeblood of your business.</p>
<p>However, to have people following you in your primary network marketing business, and sticking with you, you personally must always progress and improve, you need a way to explain all aspects of marketing, personal development and do overall training with your associates.</p>
<p>I have tried different attraction marketing systems which were more about showing you what attraction marketing is (which you must absolutely know!) than how to tie it up to my primary business. You do not want to get caught up in only promoting the system. Of course you must have an <strong>automated system</strong> to take care of your business. You don&#8217;t want to work 15 hours a day on this. What about the freedom you are looking for.</p>
<p>What you want is a system that will provide leads to you. Then <span style="text-decoration: underline;">2 things can happen</span> :</p>
<p>- <strong>The lead already has a primary business</strong> and want to keep it but need advice on generating more leads. No worries, no pressure. Because this person is in your system, you must still help them, because you are in the same boat. However, you&#8217;ll get a commission (from the system) for doing so or charge a small training fee if the person wants a more personal training.</p>
<p>- <strong>The lead has a business but is not successful</strong> and want to change or <strong>the lead doesn&#8217;t have a business</strong> but want to start one (your system must be set up so that it attracts both ype of people). You&#8217;ll are still using the system to grow your business but will work more closely with this person to help her set up her own automated system and generate leads the same way you are doing (and you&#8217;ll get a commission from the system), but <strong>not only that</strong>. You will help the person get her &#8220;offline business&#8221; going: How about tax advantages? Local leads generation techniques? Local trainings? Personnal Development training? etc. There are so much more than only one stream of income (or leads generation) and a business has so many different aspects to learn about.</p>
<p>I know that the best marketers know <strong>how to talk to people</strong>, what to say, <strong>how to help them</strong> with their <strong>personnal development</strong>. This is attraction marketing too! Because you want to continually sponsor people but you also want to <strong>retain them</strong> to create true residual income.</p>
<p>I am 100% sure that we (as marketers) need to know about <strong>selling products</strong>, creating an <strong>offline presence</strong> and build charisma. <p>So you have made the leap! You have started your own home based business. It might be full time or just a few hours a week but, you have gone where every American wants to go! So you thought it was going to be cool to get out of bed at 8:45 and make coffee and get to your computer at 9:00. Watch T.V. in the background while you worked all day or maybe you were just thinking of getting a afternoon nap in everyday!</p>
<p>It is all good until the 3rd day and reality sets in. Your Not Getting Anything Done!! It’s not easy to stay productive and effective when you’re working at home, especially if you have family or a roommate around. Well no need to panic, it is possible to be productive from home you just have to hold yourself accountable.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>1. Work Space</strong><br />
Many people don’t have any extra rooms in their house to make into a office, so they are forced to work from the sofa or kitchen table. If you are going to be working from home full time you need to designate one spot to work. If you have to clean a corner out in your bedroom then do so. You must have a place where you can close a door and get away from the busy parts of the house!</p>
<p><strong>2.Tell People You’re Working<br />
</strong>Don’t let your spouse or kids keep bothering you. You must have a place to close the door and tell them you are working when the door is closed. Don’t have your friends over to watch Sports Center or The View in the morning, tell them you can hang out with them after 5:00. Remember your not being mean, this is your business and you have to be able to work!</p>
<p><strong>3.Get A Routine</strong><br />
If you are working full time from home or just a few hours a week get into the routine of doing the same thing day in and day out. That means get up every morning at the same time and start working at the same time every morning. If you start to sleep in on just one or two days you start to develop a new routine.</p>
<p><strong>4. Make A Schedule</strong><br />
This goes with getting in a routine. Make a schedule and hold yourself to that schedule. It will help you stay on track and you won’t forget to do things.</p>
<p><strong>5. Make A To-Do-List<br />
</strong>This is still my favorite productive tip. Keep a piece of paper next to you and when things come up that aren’t on your schedule put them on your to-do-list. You can also put your schedule and your to-do-list on your computer to help you stay organized.</p>
<p><strong>6. Stay on Task<br />
</strong>Don’t get off your schedule and forget to finish your to-do-list! Its hard to hold yourself accountable when you don’t have a boss looking after you. So when you feel yourself getting off task just stop and ask yourself how bad do I want my business to succeeded Its all up to you, your accountable.</p>
<p><strong>7. No TV<br />
</strong>This one is a no brainier NO TV while you are working! Now I know a few of you reading this are like I work better with the TV on. If you are one of those people have at it. I’m not going to argue with you. Now if you are the other person who knows it is bad for you, just leave it off.</p>
<p><strong>8. Take Breaks</strong><br />
Take Breaks just like you do at work! Take a lunch hour and get out of the house, get your blood flowing. If you try and work non- stop you are going to get burnout! Take your dog for a quick walk, get fresh air, and your Productivity will go up!</p>
<p><strong>9. Getting Dressed</strong><br />
Many people when they work at home think rolling out of bed and walking to work in your PJ’s is the greatest thing in the world. The downside is being in PJ’s most of the day probably won’t help. There’s a formality about getting dressed that prepares us mentally for the job ahead.</p>
<p><strong>10. Business Phone Line<br />
</strong>Have a separate line for business only! Now at 1st you might be keeping your cost down, but when you can work it into the budget, it’s a must. I have used Skype for a year now and have a phone number with them. Its only $10/month and my phone is on my computer!</p>
<p><strong>11. When You Are Off, You Are Off</strong><br />
Enjoy your time off! If you stop working at 5:30 and your business phone line rings at 8:30, let your voicemail get it! Don’t let your work take over your home life, it’s a must if you don’t want to get burned-out .</p>
<p><strong>12. E-mails<br />
</strong>Don’t spend hours a day looking at your e-mails! Build it in your Schedule and do it one to two times a day. So many people spend half the day reading e-mails for nothing. If it doesn’t build your business, don’t do it!</p>
<p><strong>13. Have Fun</strong><br />
Working at home should be fun! It is becoming the new American dream, so don’t get overwhelmed and stressed out, just sit back and enjoy the ride.</p></blockquote>

I you follow my thinking, you know that the ultimate goal is to <strong>have your prospect asking you for a presentation</strong>. If you&#8217;re thinking home meeting, corporate event, you can&#8217;t be more wrong. Do you know many people ready to go to a &#8220;<em>meeting</em>&#8220;? I don&#8217;t. Believe me, I tried! That doesn&#8217;t sound fun at all after a long day at work! Do you want to know how to make sure you can present what you have, guaranteed, without people bailing on you? Check this one out.</p>

<p>So, remember how you pick your prospect mind to have them asking you for more?</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Hey Mary, I just found out&#8230;</em></p>
<p><em>[Benefit statement] = how secretary&#8217;s  can make more money part time than their bosses do full time. </em><em>If you&#8217;d ever like to know more about, just ask.</em></p>
<p><em>Could you please pass the [salt]?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Mary:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;What?  How does that work?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Now you&#8217;re leading the conversation, you have the power because you are in the strong position. But be careful, now is the trickiest part of all and you don&#8217;t want to raise the &#8220;anti-sales&#8221; filter. So what you say next is crucial and it will determine if your prospect will ask you for a presentation. If you want one that will work almost 100% of the time, use this one:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Well Mary, I can give you a presentation but <strong>it would take an entire minute</strong>.  When do you think you could give me an entire minute.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>And your done! This is so powerful because all prospects will reply&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;How about now?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>There you have it. You have your prospect asking you for a presentation NOW! How beautiful is that? And because the idea <strong>comes from them</strong> and not from you, they will be so <strong>much more receptive</strong> to what you have to say.</p>

<p>Now that you have your prospect asking for it, I know what you are thinking&#8230; <strong>How can I present my opportunity or business in 1 minute?</strong></p>
<h3>Step 1: Ask 2 Powerful Questions</h3>
<p>First thing first, you don&#8217;t want to speak as fast as you can and try to fit a half hour presentation in 1 minute. This is not the goal here. If you do that they will become confused and their &#8220;anti-sales&#8221; filter with start to block everything you say. This is the wrong approach.</p>
<p>Remember, we are <strong>sorting and not selling</strong>. You have brought the business up and they have asked you for more information. At this stage you are not trying to get their attention anymore, you already have it. You now have to move to the next step which is qualifying the person. This is how I would go:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Well Bob, before we get started I have to ask you a couple of questions. Is that OK?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>We want to ask question to know what they are passionate about, what resonate for them. This helps you find out why they are interested and what is their level of interest. To do that you have to ask two simple, very important questions. The first one is to find out their &#8220;WHY&#8221;. It goes like this:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Bob, what would you like more of in your life and what would you like less of in your life?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>This help people to open up. They will think about it and they will tell you what is it that they want to change in their life. It could be <strong>create a residual income stream for retirement</strong>. I can be <strong>create passive income to have more time with the kids</strong>. Listen very carefully and remember what they say. To get a little bit more information you can add something like:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Bob, how would that take to make that happen?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>You&#8217;re trying to get a figure here for the following questions, to see what there target is and how serious they may be about this. Then, when you have all the information you need, you can ask the second question:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Are you serious or just kidding around about paying less in taxes and getting $XXX for Y?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>This is were you use the information you got from the first question (XXX would be the amount they gave you and Y would be their &#8220;WHY&#8221;). This will show them that you listened to them and by doing so you will touch their heart.</p>
<p>Those two little questions are golden because they will give you <strong>all the information you need to qualify your prospect</strong>. It will give you their &#8220;WHY&#8221;, it will give you their monetary target and it will tell you if they are erious about it. And at the same time it will put you in <strong>a position of power</strong> because you show then that you are not kidding around with this. It is business and you can make their &#8220;WHY&#8221; come true.</p>
<h3>Step 2: 1 Minute Presentation &#8211; Sort, do not Sell</h3>
<p>This step is very simple and you can follow the scrip below. What you have to do is ask 4 questions and make sure that your prospect is a person you would like to work with. This is your primary objective. Here are the 4 questions that I personally ask to my prospects. You can adapt the questions so they fit your business.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Great. There are 4 things you would have to do to make that kind of money in our business. First, don’t change anything you are doing today. Continue to do what you do all the time, recommend things you enjoy like you have with books, movies and restaurants. Easy, right?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Prospect:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Yes.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Next help me identify find 1 or 2 people in the next week who would like to get paid to&#8230; </em>[put your opportunity here, for example... "drink an all natural supplement, have more energy and improved health. Almost everyone today is more health conscious right?"]<em> Does that sound like something you would be willing to help me do for $XXX a month to have Y?&#8221;</em> [Use THEIR figure and reason]</p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Prospect:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Yes.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Third, find 2 or 3 people just like you who would like to pay less in taxes and make an additional [Use figure and reason(s) for money they gave you], a month. We all know people who would like to earn a few extras dollars, isn’t that true?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Prospect:</span></p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Yes.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Finally, we work in teams. So would it be OK with you if I showed you and did the work with you until you were making at least $XXX a month and feel good about Y?</em> [don’t wait for an answer]<em> Do you think you would like that kind of support?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Prospect:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Yes.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p>And you are done! At this point you have finished your &#8220;<strong>qualifying presentation</strong>&#8221; and you are ready for the next step. Remember you are <strong>sorting</strong>, <strong>you are in control</strong>. If they answered &#8220;Yes&#8221; to all 4 questions <strong>they qualify</strong> for this step. If they answered &#8220;No&#8221; then you can thank them and disqualify them.</p>
<p>People feel fear toward things they don&#8217;t know. On top of qualifying them , the four questions do this in your prospect mind:</p>
<blockquote>
<h3>1. Make them familiar with recommending if they are not already.<br />
2. Make them familiar with [your opportunity, for example "better nutrition or people who want more energy"] and they agree that it is good.<br />
3. The are already familiar with what they want and you show them that you understand it clearly.<br />
4. Give them personal assurance about what they are unfamiliar with and show them that they will not be alone.</h3>
</blockquote>
<h3>Step 3. Close</h3>
<p>You have to <strong>close</strong> at this point. You don&#8217;t want any questions as your role is <strong>to invite </strong>the prospect to review for more information. You&#8217;re an inviter, not a seller. Let the tools that you have available do the hard work for you answering the questions they may have. The tools will most likely do a much better job than you. The next step can be you <strong>sending them a CD or brochures</strong>, or it can be a <strong>3-way call </strong>with your upline, a home kick-off, a hotel meeting, etc. It&#8217;s up to you do decide what you want to do next depending on the prospect. </p>
<h3>Good job, you did it. Now, do it again!</h3>
<p>Network Marketing is a <strong>simple skill</strong>, not a talent. <strong>It is simple but not easy</strong>. Successful people were not born with Network Marketing talent. They studied, learned and practiced.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s jump into the good stuff right away! If you don&#8217;t have the skills, prospecting can be very painful with people rejecting you even before you can say &#8220;hello&#8221;. Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to be able to follow the 3 rules of a happy prospecting:</p>
<blockquote>
<h3>1. Its gotta be Rejection Free</h3>
<p>Why? People won’t try it long if they are rejected when they try.</p>
<h3>2. Does Not Embarrass or Pressure prospect</h3>
<p>Why? Its bad manners. It&#8217;s not a good feeling having people avoiding you because you are rude.</p>
<h3>3. Extremely High Probability of Success</h3>
<p>Why? If if does not work people will stop trying very quickly.</p></blockquote>
<p>If everybody is OK with those three rules, let&#8217;s see how this can be accomplished.</p>
<p>What we talked about in &#8220;[intlink id=&amp;quot;337&amp;quot; type=&amp;quot;post&amp;quot;]The 1 Trick to Have People Asking you for More Information About Your Business, Guaranteed![/intlink]&#8221; and &#8220;[intlink id=&amp;quot;354&amp;quot; type=&amp;quot;post&amp;quot;]Find out Why the Subconscious Mind of Your MLM Prospects is the Barrier![/intlink]&#8221; is by far one of the strongest approach of prospecting as we saw that curiosity is one of the strongest unconscious trigger of actions.</p>
<p>So the process of  arousing curiosity can be summarize in 3 simple steps:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>1. Pick curiosity with the &#8220;Hey John, I just found out&#8230;&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>2. Insert a benefit statement, what&#8217;s in it for them</em></p>
<p><em>3. Change the subject</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Let&#8217;s see an example, I separate each steps:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Hey Mary, I just found out</em></p>
<p><em><strong>how Mom&#8217;s can make more money part time at home than their husbands do full time</strong>. If you know anybody who would like to know more about it, just ask.</em></p>
<p><em>Could you please pass the [salt]?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>And <span style="text-decoration: underline;">you&#8217;re done</span>. The <strong>curiosity is picked</strong>and know you just wait for them to bounce back at you. If they stay on another subject, then you instantly know that they are not ready to talk about it. But it&#8217;s OK, you can always come back to them later with another benefit statement.</p>
<p>But most of the time, the curiosity will be so strong that they will ask:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;What do you mean?&#8221;</em> or <em>&#8220;Oh, really, how does that work?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>You have accomplished what you wanted, which is <strong>THEM asking YOU for more information</strong>, not YOU pushing your information to THEM. You have followed the 3 rules:</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>1. It is rejection free</strong></p>
<p><strong>2. You did not pressure your prospect</strong></p>
<p><strong>3. It has a very high probability of success</strong></p></blockquote>
<p>What is so powerful about this is that you don&#8217;t have to remember tens or hundreds of &#8220;sales&#8221; pitch for different types of people. This is always the same, except for the benefit statement that you adapt to you prospect. Here are some you can use:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Hey Mary, I just found out <strong>how to get a 100 tax rebate every week</strong></em><em>. If you know anybody who would like to know more about it, just ask. </em><em>Could you please pass the [salt]?&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Hey Mary, I just found out <strong>how secretary&#8217;s  can make more money part time than their bosses do full time</strong></em><em>. If you know anybody who would like to know more about it, just ask. </em><em>Could you please pass the [salt]?&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Hey Mary, I just found out <strong>how students can make more money part time than their professors do full time</strong></em><em>. If you know anybody who would like to know more about it, just ask. </em><em>Could you please pass the [salt]?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>You get the picture! This is so <strong>effortless</strong> that I am sometimes ashamed of using this but why would you use something complicated when there is a simple solution, right?</p>
<h3>What happens next?</h3>
<p>When you picked your prospect interest and he asked you more about it by a <em>&#8220;What do you mean?&#8221;</em> or <em>&#8220;Oh, really, how does that work?&#8221;</em>, don&#8217;t fall in the trap of jumping on the occasion for vomiting your opportunity on them. Remember, <strong>people like to buy but they don&#8217;t like to be sold to</strong>.</p>
<p>So when they ask you for more, don&#8217;t raise the &#8221;<em>anti-sales</em>&#8221; filter but make them <strong>ask you for a presentation</strong>. How do you do that? That will be the last part of our series, tomorrow!</p>

If you paid attention, you saw that I emphasized some points. I said it was simple and I gave you the exact &#8220;<em>script</em>&#8221; for you to <strong>practice</strong> it. Today we will try to discuss why this little trick works.</p>
<p><span id="more-354"></span></p>
<p>If you tried it I am sure you are already starting to enjoy it and find it fun! You can drive some people crazy with this. I especially enjoy it with people who I find are very <strong>resistant to talking about business</strong>, people who have a very <strong>cynical view of Network Marketing</strong>.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">This works every time</span>. Why? Because it calls to the <strong>subconscious mind</strong> of people. It is the unconscious mind which makes <strong>all the decisions</strong>. Have you ever heard of trainers talking about how to create more sales and teaching that 90% of the time, when someone buy something, it&#8217;s on an impulse and not a well thought process.</p>
<p>Want proof of the power of the subconscious? Here a simple exercise.</p>
<h3>What does this person do?</h3>
<p>I am going to give you a quick description of someone and you will have to <strong>write down</strong> what profession it makes you think of and how you feel about this profession. For each, I will give you my answer to both questions. Try not to look at my answers and write yours down. Ready?</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Person 1</span>:<br />
- Works in a white dress<br />
- Walks down an hospital corridor<br />
- Has a stethoscope</p></blockquote>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>For me, it makes me think of <strong>a nurse</strong>. I feel a nurse is <strong>calming</strong> and <strong>helpful</strong>.</p>

- Big belt with loops<br />
- Tape measure<br />
- Has Nails and a Hammer</p></blockquote>

<p>I think it&#8217;s a <strong>carpenter</strong>. I feel carpenters are <strong>strong</strong> and <strong>skillful</strong>.</p>

- Plaid jacket<br />
- Has a Briefcase<br />
- Has a Loud Pitch<br />
- Won&#8217;t leave after you say &#8216;no&#8217;</p></blockquote>

<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>It&#8217;s a <strong>salesman</strong>! I feel <strong>uncomfortable</strong> and always <strong>lean back, protective</strong>. Shields up!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t you guys feel the same way?</p>
<p>What this little exercise is all about it to show you that because we have <strong>past experiences</strong> and we because we have <strong>a preconceived idea</strong> of a certain type of profession, we make decisions based on <strong>inconscious impulses</strong>.</p>
<p>The nurse <span style="text-decoration: underline;">could be</span> a drug addict stealing pills from the hospital. The carpenter <span style="text-decoration: underline;">could be</span> a thief coming back at night robbing houses. And the salesman <span style="text-decoration: underline;">could be</span> <strong>the nicest person on Earth</strong> it wouldn&#8217;t matter if he doesn&#8217;t have the correct set of skills because we already have a fixed idea on &#8220;salesmen&#8221; in general.</p>
<p>So, following yesterday&#8217;s post, how do you make sure that you <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">don&#8217;t sound like a saleman</span></strong> and how do you <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">create a good state of mind</span></strong> in your prospects so they ask you for more?</p>
<h3>Arouse curiosity!</h3>
<p>Don&#8217;t try to sell, try to get your prospects curious. After self-preservation, the strongest <strong>subconscious driver</strong> of the mind is <strong>curiosity</strong>. Want some proof?</p>
<p>You are reading this because you are trying to <strong>learn something new</strong>, you are somewhat <strong>curious</strong> to read what I have to say. Did it cross your mind even one second that <strong>maybe</strong> I was trying to sell you something? Probably not. Am I? Maybe or maybe not.</p>
<p>This is <strong>powerful</strong> because I managed to bypass your &#8220;anti-sales&#8221; filter and I activated your curiosity by <strong>discussing</strong> with you, <strong>getting you involved</strong>, <strong>giving you great content</strong>. <p>All we have to do is find people who are no longer willing to &#8216;settle for normal&#8217;, and it is easy. How do you do it?</p>
<p><span id="more-337"></span></p>
<p><strong>Simple</strong>. There is a method that will have people asking for a presentation, several times a day. It works all day long, every day. But I want to encourage you to <strong>&#8220;prove&#8221; it to yourself</strong> first.</p>
<p>If you are still reading it is because you are serious about building your business. Your are serious but are you coachable?</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take Nancy and Al as an example. Nancy and Al both live in the same town, know the same people. The both enrolled a year ago. Al is not getting checks, Nancy is cashing huge checks. Nancy and Al have a lot in common though:</p>
<ul>
<li>Paid same amount to enroll</li>
<li>Same comp plan</li>
<li>Same meetings</li>
<li>Same product, upline and sponsor!</li>
<li>Both are putting in 12 hours a week</li>
<li>Both are motivated, excited and dedicated</li>
<li>Both have the same belief level.</li>
</ul>
<p>So why is Nancy cashing big checks while all is not ?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s simple: <strong>Skills</strong>.</p>
<p>Nancy is simply saying and doing something different than Al. Nancy is making presentations as often as she wants, Al can&#8217;t get a presentation or even an appointment. Dio you want to know what Nancy knows that Al does not?</p>
<p>Well, one thing is certain. Nancy <strong>did not keep doing what did not work</strong>. She did not buy into the biggest lie in network marketing. What is one of the biggest lie in MLM that most people believe in?</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;You just have to find the right people, aka every &#8216;no&#8217; gets you closer to a yes, aka whoever gets the most &#8216;no&#8217;s&#8217; wins, etc.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Nancy knows it all gets down to <strong>what she says and does</strong> in the first <span style="text-decoration: underline;">6 to 8 seconds</span>. <strong>Nancy is coachable</strong>. Al is <em>cooperative</em> but because he believes the biggest lie in MLM, he keeps doing the same thing. He is talking to everyone but nothing is happening. Nancy is talking to far less people and everything is happening.</p>
<h3>Do YOU know how to talk to people to attract them to YOU?</h3>
<p>If the answer is &#8220;no&#8221;, then keep reading and let me help you prove something to yourself. And you can prove you are coachable today at the same time. While in the presence of others today, both in the home and out in the world, say this <span style="text-decoration: underline;">little innocent catch phrase</span>.</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;OH! I just found out&#8230;&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>And then drop a pen or reach down and scratch your ankle. When you come back to the upright position, look whoever you are talking to square in the eye and have a blank stare on your face. <strong>Observe, say nothing</strong>. Whoever you are talking to will be <span style="text-decoration: underline;">leaning forward</span>. Say nothing and they will invariably say:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;What?&#8221; </em></p></blockquote>
<p>or</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;You just found out what?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Observe their <strong>body language</strong>. Their <strong>attention level</strong>. Just tell them sorry, you lost your train of thought. You have them hooked and you can always come back to it later on when you feel it&#8217;s right. Remember you want people asking for information, not you pushing your information to them! Nancy, remember, can create prospects on demand, getting people to ask her for a presentation, virtually <em>begging</em> her for more information. Al can&#8217;t get one. People tend to try to get away from Al.</p>
<h3>Are you Coachable?</h3>
<p>Most people who want to build a big business get pretty excited about learning <strong>how to create prospects on demand </strong>and will follow the simple suggestion I just made so they can improve dramatically in 24 hours. But, some of them don&#8217;t. The ones that don&#8217;t would rather surf the internet, watch TV and complain instead of follow suggestions.</p>
<p>So, prove me right or prove me wrong. But get the proof. See, there are only 2 types of people in the world. The type that is coachable and the type that is not coachable. We all just have to decide which group we want to be in.</p>

<p><em>When demonstrating <strong>leadership</strong> the right way, people will <strong>follow you</strong> where ever you&#8217;ll take them. You know some of those days were you are trying to stay away for the computer because of too much information? Did you ever get that feeling? I like to get some <strong>offline Networking</strong> times to times and I find it enjoyable. Anyway, for the little time I spent on my computer, I read a couple of articles and one stood up because it related to some <strong>offline approach</strong> I&#8217;ve been using and I&#8217;d like to share it with you.</p>
<p><span id="more-304"></span></p>
<p>Do you know the Network Marketing saying that says &#8220;<em>Do Not Go Prospect, Prospect As You Go</em>&#8220;? I love this one because it opens your mind and opens doors for you to talk to people you wouldn&#8217;t think of in a first place. For the sake of the example here, let me pick something we do very often: <strong>go and eat out to a restaurant</strong>.</p>
<p>You know, some people will object that this is the <em>old school</em> way to do it, <em>cold approach</em>, but you know what, you never know where you will find your next superstar, so why avoiding to do it because someone say it&#8217;s old school. And everywhere you will find people willing to change their lifestyle. Personally, I love talking to people offline and this is what this industry is all about. And it will change your mindset, you skills and doing things is what will bring you money at the end.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take a restaurant as an example.</p>
<h3>So how do I prospect in a restaurant?</h3>
<p>For the example let&#8217;s call the waiter &#8220;Sean&#8221;. So it would go like this. Call him and say:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Sean, listen. I wanted to personally thank you for your great service tonight, it&#8217;s some of the best service I&#8217;ve had in a restaurant this year.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>It has to be a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">genuine compliment</span></strong>. If the waiter sucks, don&#8217;t say that and remember you want to find winners not whiners so maybe you shouldn&#8217;t be talking to him in a first place. If the service is ok but not great, say something about the waiter&#8217;s &#8220;<em>focus</em>&#8221; or &#8220;<em>smile</em>&#8221; or whatever you can find. There should be a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">very important pause here</span></strong>.</p>
<p>What does that do? The genuine compliment will make him feel good and open him up to whatever you will say next. The pause will make him answer something to you. It also <strong>puts you in a position of &#8220;power&#8221;</strong> because you are the one who started the conversation and you are waiting for a response. <strong>Do not talk first</strong>, the first person that talks is in the weak spot.</p>
<p>Let him answer quickly and then proceed:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Listen Sean, I own a business here in the area and I always keep an eye out for sharp people and you definitely caught my attention today. Let me ask you a question: do you keep your work options open?&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>If Sean is really good at what he does in the restaurant, he most likely have a sharp mind and what do you think he will answer? Obviously &#8220;yes&#8221;. If he says &#8220;no&#8221; then you have to disqualify him and move on. You could say: &#8220;<em>OK then, have a great night</em>&#8221; and walk away. If the answer is positive, then continue:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Good for you, Sean. I think you&#8217;ll be glad you do! Tell you what, you&#8217;re working right now and I&#8217;m busy myself, I&#8217;m heading off to meet someone, but let&#8217;s do this. Let me get your contact information and I&#8217;ll give you a call tomorrow</em>[or when he gets off later the same day]<em> and tell you who we&#8217;re looking for and see if we&#8217;ve got a match&#8221;.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Then you simply write down his information and you&#8217;ve just generated a strong local lead.</p>
<p><strong>Why is it such a strong lead?</strong></p>
<p>It is strong because you had a chance to meet personally this person in an environment where you had the power (as a customer) and you leaded the conversation from beginning to end. You also had a chance to see the person skills and personality and how they talk to other people. You already pre-qualified this person on what you could see. Obviously there is much more to ask to fully qualify this person but this is a great start.</p>
<p>And the best part is that it&#8217;s not just limited to restaurants. No, you can do this in virtually anywhere. You can talk to people everywhere you go!</p>
<p>I hope you see the power in this approach and that you will not only read this but that you will actually do it next time you go somewhere. Remember, you have nothing to loose by doing it. You can&#8217;t force them to do it. You will never be able to force people to do what they don&#8217;t want to do. When this happens, your best course of action is to ask for referrals. This will help you extend your network in a very quick way. How do you ask for referral? Follow those <strong>3 simple steps</strong>.</p>

<h3 class="q-details">1. Be Confident</h3>
<p class="q-details">You have to be confident and expect them to give a couple of names to you. You can try to put the idea in the person&#8217;s mind that it is the norm to help out other people. You can say something like <em>&#8220;As you know I am trying to find partners for my project. I have been very lucky with people helping me out. Would you know anybody who would like to know more about this?&#8221;</em> or if you are in the health business, <em>&#8220;Would you know anybody who have health issues and who would benefit from this great product?&#8221;</em>. Ask your mentor/trainer about specific sentences to use in your business.</p>
<h3 class="q-details">2. Ask for help</h3>
<p class="q-details">Remember that your success in Network Marketing will be defined by how many people you will be able to talk to. You have to find ways to grow your list of people to talk to. When talking to someone, either they are interested or not, don&#8217;t be embarrassed to ask for their help. You can explain to them that it is the only way for your business to grow. The greatest and most successful people build Networks. If you ever discuss business with successful salespeople, you will notice that they <strong>&#8220;always&#8221; </strong>ask you for referrals, they are always looking for new account. Don&#8217;t be shy or feel bad about it, it&#8217;s how this business works.</p>
<h3 class="q-details">3. Leverage a goal</h3>
<p class="q-details">One very powerful way to do it is to put in the mind of the person you are talking to that you are working hard to achieve a personal goal. I always tell people that by helping me they will give me a great push toward a new title, a goal <em>&#8220;you know I am working very hard on that business and I will reach my next personal goal which is X or Y by finding a couple of new partners. Would you know anybody who would like otlearn about this?&#8221; </em>It has to be a real goal, you have to stay genuine at all time because the person will feel it if you are not.</p>

<p class="q-details">When you talk to someone and think about using any of the above point, <strong>always go prepared.</strong>What I mean is that depending on who you are talking to, think beforehand of a couple of examples of people they may know. For example if you are talking to a store owner, you may say somethign like <em>&#8220;Would you know anybody who would like to learn more about it. Maybe one of your customer? How about one of your vendor?&#8221;</em> Remember that they know many people. If you ask <strong>properly and every time</strong>, you will see fantastic results.</p>

<p>This can be a very long discussion and I have talked to many people with many different opinions. I will try to keep it short here for the sake of everybody. <p>To make it extremely easy, here are the pros of each method and I will only focus on the pros. Why? Because I believe that pointing out the negative points will not give you the <strong>Slight Edge</strong> to success. Take whatever is positive in each method, learn from it, and you will quickly become a leader in your MLM and in the Network Marketing industry.</p>
<h3>Offline Marketing Pros</h3>
<ul>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">It is real</span>. What I mean by that is that when you meet people face to face, talk to them, look at them in the eyes, you will know if they are what you are looking for.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Training is very efficient</span>. I have spent hours going to meetings and trainings and I do not regret any of them. Seeing people doing training will teach you how to it. Remember, successful Network Marketers are great trainers and teachers. I enjoy teaching people what I know much more than trying to sell anything.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">People already trust you</span> (at least your warm market). Trust is the base of everything in Network Marketing. If people trust you, they will listen to you when you will suggest something. It can be a product or it can be an opportunity.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You will learn how to talk to people</span>. Don&#8217;t forget that to have a successfull MLM business you will have to talk to people (for real). Only sending emails is not going to cut it. You have to learn how to talk to people so they are attracted by what you say. Metting people offline is a great way of training.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Online Marketing Pros</h3>
<ul>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You have a global reach</span>. Your list of prospects is endless. This is the biggest advantage at marketing online. You may have heard this many times, but it is true. The list is everything. You will not succeed without a list. Create a list, gain their trust and as I said previously, when people trust you, they will listen to what you have to say.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You don&#8217;t have to deal with rejection</span>. When you do online marketing, your goal is to have people coming to you asking you for advice and ultimately asking you to join your Network Marketing business. When they come to you, they are already presold on what you have and your only task is to qualify them.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">If you are not already successful, it&#8217;s easy to act like it</span>. The catch phrase &#8220;Fake it till you make it&#8221; says it all. Well it&#8217;s somewhat easy online and people trust successful people. However, remember you still have to talk to people at some point so be careful in what you pretend to be.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">It is very low cost</span>. Most of the MLM companies have corporate webiste provided to you that you can use (if your company doesn&#8217;t, change company ASAP). If you decide to have your own, it will be at very low cost.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">24/7/365 exposure</span>. No rest in the online world.</li>
</ul>

<p>In my opinion, both are very important for different (and good) reasons. <strong>What I recommend is, take the best of each and merge them together to create a marketing powerhouse!</strong></p>
